FleetCard is offering new customers up to $500 cashback on eligible fuel when they sign up before 30 June 2026. Here's what the offer covers, which card it applies to, and whether it stacks up for your fleet.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence about getting a fuel card for your business fleet, the end of financial year is a decent time to make the call. FleetCard is running an EOFY offer for new customers that stacks cashback on top of its already-existing intro discounts, and the deadline is 30 June 2026.

    What’s the FleetCard EOFY offer?

New FleetCard customers who sign up before 30 June 2026 get:

    • A reduced card fee of $2.99/month for the first 6 months
    • 6c/L off at Shell and Reddy Express for the intro period
    • 3c/L off at EG, 7-Eleven, Ampol, and Foodary for the intro period
    • Up to $500 cashback, calculated at 10c per eligible litre*

To illustrate what the numbers could look like: a plumbing and maintenance business running 7 diesel utes averaging 420km per week would pump roughly 3,900L in the first three months.

At 10c per eligible litre, that’s around $390 in cashback by month five, plus approximately $195 in pump savings from the intro discount alone. And that’s before factoring in the admin time saved by consolidating fuel expenses onto a single Xero-integrated invoice instead of reconciling receipts across multiple personal cards every month.

Which FleetCard does the offer apply to?

The offer applies across all three FleetCard products. Here’s a quick summary of each to help you work out which one fits your business.

    FleetCard Classic

The straightforward option for small to medium businesses running up to 20 vehicles. You get broad network access, card-level spend controls, consolidated invoicing, and optional add-ons like Xero integration, EV charging, tolls, and roadside assistance. The ongoing card fee after the intro period is $5.99/card/month. After the intro discount ends, you’ll save 3c/L at Shell and Reddy Express, and 1c/L at most other brands. Best for businesses that want simple, consolidated fuel expense management without too much setup.

For a small fleet, the switch to Classic tends to be as much an accounting decision as a fuel one. A landscaping business running five utes, for example, would likely eliminate weekly receipt chasing and manual reimbursements within the first month of using driver-specific cards with spend controls. An added operational benefit worth noting: fuel spend visibility in near real time can surface issues like a vehicle with unusually high consumption, the kind of thing that gets missed when you’re reconciling paper receipts at the end of the month.

    FleetCard Rewards+

Everything Classic offers, plus 1 Velocity Point per litre of eligible fuel through Virgin Australia Business Flyer. The card fee is $4.99/card/month ongoing, actually slightly cheaper than Classic. New customers can earn up to 110,000 bonus Velocity Points in the first 12 months if they hit volume thresholds. You’ll also get a discount on Roadside Assistance and no service fee on Tolls as a Rewards+ cardholder. Best for businesses that fly Virgin regularly and want to turn fuel spend into flights.

To put the points earn in perspective: a commercial fitout business with 10 vehicles consuming around 4,950L/month would generate roughly 59,400 Velocity Points in a year through eligible transactions alone, before any bonus points. For a team already flying Virgin domestically twice a month, that’s a meaningful contribution toward flights that would otherwise come out of the travel budget. For businesses that don’t fly Virgin, the points won’t move the needle and Classic is the more straightforward choice.

    FleetCard Corporate

FleetCard Corporate is for fleets of 20+ vehicles with more complex needs. Pricing, discounts, and reporting are all negotiated with a dedicated account manager based on your fleet size and fuel volume. You won’t find a published rate card for Corporate, but higher volume generally means better than Classic rates. Best for larger operations that need cost centre reporting, real-time card management across multiple sites, and a direct account contact.

How does the EOFY cashback stack up?

For context, here’s what the offer could look like across two different fleet sizes based on typical fuel usage:

Fleet size Est. monthly fuel 90-day litres Cashback earned
    3 vehicles (landscaping) ~550L ~1,650L ~$165
    10 vehicles (construction) ~4,950L ~14,850L $500 (capped)

The 10-vehicle fleet would hit the 5,000-litre cap well within the 90-day window and collect the full $500. The three-vehicle fleet clears the minimum threshold comfortably and would earn around $165. Neither figure includes the per-litre discount savings on top.

One detail in the offer terms worth briefing your drivers on before rollout: the 100-litre-per-transaction cap. Fleets running larger tanks or towing regularly could miss eligible litres if drivers habitually fill auxiliary tanks in a single transaction above the cap. Splitting fills into separate transactions under 100L ensures all eligible litres track correctly against the cashback.

    The bottom line

The EOFY cashback makes FleetCard’s existing new-customer offer meaningfully better, particularly for mid-sized fleets that’ll hit the 5,000-litre cap quickly. If you’ve been running fuel expenses on personal cards or tracking receipts manually, this is a practical window to switch. Just factor in the approval timeline and get your application in well before the deadline.

    FAQs

Do I need to be an existing FleetCard customer to access the EOFY offer? No. The offer is for new FleetCard customers only. If you’re already a FleetCard customer, it doesn’t apply to your account.

Can I get the cashback and the Velocity Points bonus with Rewards+? Yes. The EOFY cashback offer applies across all three FleetCard products including Rewards+, so you can stack the cashback with the points bonus if you sign up for Rewards+ before 30 June 2026.

What counts as an eligible litre for the cashback? Unleaded petrol, E10, and diesel at participating FleetCard network stations. LPG, bulk fuels, oils, AdBlue, car washes, EV charging, and vehicle services don’t count.

When does the cashback actually arrive? It’s credited to your FleetCard account by the end of month 5 from account opening, not immediately. It’s also a credit against your account balance, not a cash transfer.

What happens to my discount rate after the intro period ends? The 6c/L and 3c/L intro discounts apply for the first 6 months. After that, ongoing rates are 3c/L at Shell and Reddy Express, and 1c/L at 7-Eleven, Ampol, and most other brands.

Is there a lock-in contract? No. FleetCard doesn’t require a lock-in contract. You can add or cancel cards at any time.

How long does approval take? Processing and credit approval can take up to four weeks from the date of submission in some cases. If you’re planning to sign up before 30 June, don’t leave it to the last week of June.

New FleetCard customers only. Minimum 1,350 eligible litres required within the first 90 days from account opening. Cashback is calculated at 10c per eligible litre and capped at 5,000 eligible litres, up to a maximum of $500 per account. Maximum 100 eligible litres per transaction applies. Cashback paid as a credit to your FleetCard account by the end of month 5. T&Cs apply.
