PumaCard Rebrands to Caltex StarCard
Are you searching for a Puma fuel card? Puma Energy service stations have now rebranded to Caltex.
In July 2020, global energy company Chevron acquired Puma in Australia, and has since begun rebranding all Puma stations to Caltex. You’ll notice new Caltex signs replacing Puma ones as the rebranding continues through 2023, 2024 and beyond.

Puma fuel stations are being rebranded to Caltex. It’s not clear if there are any Puma fuel stations left in Australia, but since Chevron acquired Puma Energy’s Australian operations in July 2020, they began transitioning Puma stations to the Caltex brand. This rebranding process is ongoing and will continue until all Puma Energy stations have been rebranded.
Can I use a Caltex StarCard at Puma stations?
Yes, you can use a Caltex StarCard at stations that were previously Puma but are now Caltex. As any leftover Puma Energy stations transition to the Caltex brand, you’ll still be able to use your Caltex StarCard here (the Open Loop card only) for fuel purchases and other services.

Can I use my RAC discount with Puma Card?
Unfortunately Puma Card do not allow you to stack any discounts such as those offered with a shopper docket with your card.
Are there any discounts for fuel when using the Pumacard?
The Pumacard gives you a fixed and ongoing fuel discount at all Puma sites.
What is the difference between Pumacard and Pumacard Direct?
A Pumacard is open loop – meaning it can be used at any Wex Motorpass site. A Pumacard Direct card can only be used at Puma sites.
Can I use Pumacard for non-fuel purchases?
The Pumacard can be used at Participating merchants including Best Western, Cabcharge, Secure Parking, Supercheap Auto, O’Brien, Tyrepower, Good Year, Lube Mobile, Marshall Batteries, Kmart Tyre & Auto, UltraTune, MIDAS, Bob Jane and Beaurepaires. The Pumacard Direct cannot be used at these stores.
What are the main fees for Pumacard?
Card fee is $2.50 (ex GST) per month/per card. An additional card is $8 per card. Late payments incur an admin fee of $15.00 plus 3% per month for the overdue amount.
If you use the Pumacard at a non-Puma location, you'll incur a 0.50c transaction fee.
Where can I use the Pumacard?
With Puma Direct, you can use your card at over 400 Puma sites nation-wide. With the Pumacard, you can use your fuel card at all Puma sites (with the pump discount) and 6,000+ WEX Motorpass sites (minus the fixed pump price discount), including BP, Woolworths/Safeway, Shell, Coles Express, Ampol, Caltex, 7-Eleven, and Mobil (for an additional transaction fee of 0.50c per transaction).
