Shell Card is now accepted at all OTR service stations across Australia, expanding the Shell Card network to over 1,500 locations.
Shell Card holders can now access over 200 new service stations across Australia, thanks to Viva Viva Energy’s acquisition of OTR service stations in March this year. This expansion adds OTR’s locations to the Shell Card network, increasing the total number of sites accepting the card to more than 1,500 nationwide.
Viva Energy CEO and Managing Director Scott Wyatt said: “Having completed the OTR Group and Coles Express acquisitions, we will extend our world-class convenience retail offering across the largest company-operated network in Australia, with a pathway to more than 1,000 stores.”
More options for fuel and convenience
The integration of OTR into the Shell Card network means cardholders can now fill up at a wider range of fuel retailers, including Shell, Coles Express, Reddy Express, Liberty, Westside, and now, OTR.
Extra convenience for business and personal use
This expansion is particularly beneficial for customers and businesses operating across multiple states, as OTR has a strong presence in South Australia and Victoria, with recent expansions into New South Wales, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

With OTR’s extensive offerings, such as grocery services, car wash facilities, and popular food brands like Subway, Hungry Jacks, and Krispy Kreme, it’s a one-stop shop for both fuel and convenience.
Pivoting to stay competitive
This acquisition comes as the fuel and convenience retail industry in Australia continues to evolve. With shifting consumer preferences and the gradual rise of electric vehicles, fuel card providers are adjusting their services to stay competitive.
Adding OTR locations to the Shell Card network provides users with more options and increased convenience, making it easier to manage fuel and convenience store purchases across the country.
